one month....

Well on Saturday Seth turned a month old...oh how I miss him....
I recieved our testing results from Duke University, and Seth chromosomes were normal...Praise God...We are waiting for one more test to come back to be 100 % positive that it wasn't genetic..

I want to start telling you about our delivery and the birth of our little Angel...

On April 16, 2009 we were scheduled for a c-section. We woke up that morning at about 3:30, and had to be at the hospital by 5 am. We had a few visitors, and then they prepped me. I was wheeled into the OR where they placed my epidural, and started. Seth was born at 8:14 am CRYING. He weighed 5 lbs 9 ozs and was 17 3/4 inches long. Daddy and Seth went into the nursery and got him cleaned up, and put a diaper on him. By the time they were finished with that, I was finished and in my recovery room, where they brought Seth to me and placed him in my arms. Ill tell more about Seth's day later.

  1. It's so hard to believe it's been a month already. I don't know where they time goes or why it flies by so fast. Life gets away from us so quickly. That's good that Seth's chromosomes were normal. I wish we could've found out about Carleigh's. :(

You had to wake up quite early that day! I'm sure Seth's cry was such a wonderful sound!

  2. I know you will treasure the sound of his cry for the rest of your life. That's wonderful news that his chromosomes are normal in the tests you have had so far! Thank you for sharing about Seth's day, I look forward to hearing more. ((HUG))

  3. I am so glad to see you posting about Seth's arrival. For myself, it has had a sort of healing effect. I am so very glad to know that you got to hear Seth cry. It was one of my prayers as well but sadly Noah never really made a sound. Only once or twice but they were more like squeals of pain. Still, we have them recorded, just in case.

I am glad also to hear that Seth's chromosones were normal. I will pray that the other tests are normal as well.

I still pray daily for you. I look at your pictures often of you and Seth and your family. I am amazed at the strength and love I see in your faces. Trust me...its there.
